One of the first things you should plan for your wedding is the location of the ceremony and reception. This will determine the day you can get married and will be the basis of all things: catering, liquor, cake purchasing, and so forth. Whether you are getting married in a church and then are moving to a new location for the reception, brides and grooms to be generally has an idea of the environment they want to get married in.

Many people choose to get married outside. You must make sure there is a back up in case of the unfortunate event of bad weather. For those getting married inside, it is important to find out if the facility has air conditioning and heat.

The location of your ceremony and reception are fundamental in creating the romantic ambiance you want to achieve. Start looking for a place as soon as possible.

Tips to Save Money:

  • Find a place that enables you to bring your own caterer.

  • Ask for off season rates and rates during the week. Often times Monday – Friday are much more inexpensive than Saturday or Sunday.

  • Don't book on Saturday as they are often the most expensive time to book.
