Some couples share the same religion and
know they want to get married in the church. Other couples have
one person that is religious that wants to get married in the
church – we have all seen “My Big Fat Greek Wedding.” One thing
is certain, church weddings can be incredibly beautiful and
romantic. However, there are some important things to remember.
Some churches require marriage counseling for months before you
can get married in the church. Others require that you be a
member of the church which may mean conversion. Generally
churches have their own wedding planners onsite that are
available to answer your questions.
Tips:
-
While some of the older churches are
the most romantic, keep in mind they may not have air
conditioning which would make a summer wedding unbearable.
-
Keep in mind when you are planning your
wedding that your guests are going to have to travel to the
reception site. You want to find a place that is not too far
away from the church.
