You may want to consider
having taxis or limos run guests to and from the hotel -
especially if you know your friends and family are going to
be drinking.

Open bar or not?
That is the question. If you are lucky enough to be able to
bring your own alcohol you can save a ton of money by bringing
in kegs and boxes of wine and champagne. Some places require you
to purchase their alcohol which can be $3+ for a bottle of beer
(which adds up quickly). Many places enable you to purchase a
certain dollar amount of booze so you can have an open bar until
it runs out and it then goes to a cash bar. If you are going to
bring your own booze make sure to shop around. As with all
things the prices differ widely from place to place.
Remember to
be responsible with drinking and driving. Think about having
Taxi’s lined up in case your guests need rides.
Tips to Save
Money:
Find a
facility and caterer that allows you to bring your own
liquor. *Remember that you will have to pay your caterer for
bartenders (which can be $13+ an hour per bartender).
Buy in cases
and kegs.
