Finding the perfect photographer for your wedding can be one of the most important things you do. To capture the magical day elegantly is an art. Photographers generally have packages for you to choose from. Some let you keep the negatives, some say they will only take a certain amount of pictures, some do black and white as well as color, some do digital, and some have assistants. It is smart to investigate exactly what you get for your money. You need to be careful to find a good photographer with a thriving business. If a photographer goes out of business you may loose your negatives forever. Whereas others keep your negatives allowing you to purchase more photos for years to come.

Book a photographer well in advance. This is an area where you do not want to go cheap – you get what you pay for.

Tips:

• Ask if the photographer if familiar with the area or ask them to scope out the place beforehand so they know where they want to take pictures.

• If you are taking pictures outside, remember that you want daylight so think about timing.

• Choose a photographer near your ceremony and reception so you do not have to pay traveling costs.
